Karen Arballo - Office Support/ Health Tech
My name is Karen Arballo, or Ms. Karen! I recently started working for Tustin Unified School District but have worked with children since 2014. I began at the YMCA program for the Anaheim School District as a program leader. I then accepted a position with Santa Ana Unified as a Biliterate paraprofessional, teaching students to read and write in both English and Spanish for four years. It was such a rewarding job, but I always wanted to work for a high school, which led me to my current position as the Office Support and Health Tech for Hillview High School. I am grateful for the opportunity and happy to be working with such a great team.

Joseph Arballo - M&O
I’ve been at Tustin Unified School District for 9 years. During this time, I have worked at Utt Middle School, Foothill High School, and for the past 6 years, Hillview has been my home. When I’m not at school, I am taking care of my beautiful wife, playing with my dogs, fishing, or working out.

Brisa Lavalle - College and Career Specialist
I am excited to be working with Coastline ROP as a College and Career Specialist and be placed with Tustin Unified School District. Not only will I be with Hillview, but also Legacy Magnet Academy and Tustin Connect.
As for my background, I hold a Master’s in School Counseling along with a PPS credential and a CWA authorization. I have worked with students of all ages ranging from preschool to state college level. I have also taken on many hats including collegiate peer advisor/office assistant, preschool aide, school counseling intern, TK interventionist, substitute clinical school therapist, substitute school counselor, and academic/wellness interventionist. This year, I am excited to take on the roles of college and career specialist and part-time lecturer. I am grateful for each role as it has helped me grow as an educator and as a person.
Outside of education, I like to spend time with family and friends, create arts and crafts, sew, thrift, drive, and go on mini adventures.
